Heckers Software ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementation act (UAVG).

2. What data we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Contact details you provide via our contact form or by email — such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
• Newsletter data — your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, and interactions collected through security tools (for example, Cloudflare Turnstile) to protect our forms from abuse. These are loaded only after you accept cookies.

4. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, or as required by law. Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Data related to invoicing is retained for the statutory period required by Dutch tax law (currently seven years).

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (processors), such as our email newsletter provider and hosting and security providers. These parties may only process your data on our instructions and under an appropriate data processing agreement. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
